About me
French translator,
proofreader and subtitler
I was born in Chambéry (in the French department of Savoie) into a French-Italian family and developed a keen interest in foreign languages and cultures very early in life. By the time I was a teenager, my career aspirations were already clear to me—I wanted to become a translator to promote a better understanding between people of different languages and backgrounds.
The opportunity to live and work for several years in the UK and Spain marked the beginning of my career in translation. After four and a half years working for various translation agencies, I decided to go the independent route and offer my own translation, proofreading and subtitling services.
I enjoy being in direct contact with clients, building trustful relationships with them, and doing my very best to fulfill their needs. I specialize in translations for the tourism, wine & gastronomy, fashion and cosmetics industries and also translate materials relating to healthcare and well-being. Although I am currently living in France, I travel abroad regularly to broaden my linguistic, social, and cultural knowledge.

As a dedicated and reliable language specialist, I offer high-quality translation and proofreading services. Translation involves rendering a piece of text from one language into another, while proofreading aims to ensure the flow and content of a translation with respect to the source text. Also, I can take care of your subtitling projects.

Quality
All translated documents are fully proofread before they are delivered in order to ensure optimal quality. I use a number of different CAT tools (e.g., Trados Studio 2024) that allow my work to be saved in translation memories and that provide for terminological consistency within and across all of your documents. Each document is also run through Antidote, a grammar- and spell-check software, before delivery. For subtitling, I use different tools, like EZTitles.
Reliability
As a professional translator, I aim to abide by the source text while ensuring the flow of the target text by using reliable resources and reference materials. I understand the complexity of the translation process and will always propose delivery deadlines that are realistic, so that the translations you receive meet high quality standards. You will be in direct contact with me for each project.
